Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born August 19, 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her leading role on TNT's crime drama The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and she also won a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received a Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The series ended on August 13th in 2012. Sedgwick is also well-known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick won the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other roles include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992) as well as Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996), What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick was born New York City to Patricia Rosenwald (nee Rosenwald), who works as a speech and family therapist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick, a venture investor. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian and of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover dinners.
